Really felt great through most of this run, then at 9.5 I started feeling rough. At 11 I hit the wall and totally broke down! I was able to run another broken mile in the last 3+ back to Panera, but never got a second wind and even puked once. The 1st 9.5 had a lot of hills and I rolled through them all with a 7:47 pace (826, 808, 757, 745, 733, 744, 732, 735, 725, 742, 739).

After listing what I had for dinner last night, Hugh noted that i was lacking carbs. Yesterday was a very unusual day of nutrition. I only had a banana for breakfast, then fish and some mashed potatoes for lunch. I always eat more for both meals. Then at dinner I had about 12 oz of steak, a salad, asparagus, and desert. I'm sure it was glycogen depletion because it was exactly like Chicago 94'. After the run I began to chill, and my hands turned white. I got home, took a warm shower then slept till noon. Only now, 4.5 hours after the run and a meal, am I starting to recover!
