Long run with the Illinois Elite crew for an early 7am run. Very nice to be home around 9 and feel like I have a real Saturday. Didn't feel that good and was kind of dreading doing the 6mi tempo at the end. Turned with everyone at 45 and started the tempo at 9. Knew it was a hard workout but just decided to start around 6:20 and try to work down. Was just loosing focus often and just didn't really push myself. My natural cadence was right around 6:20 and I felt like my body just kept reverting to that pace if I was thinking. The last two I was kinda done but just pushed on. Happy I did it but compared to the mile tempo I did last week, this one just felt blah. I know it was because I started a workout at 9 miles in and I haven't pushed really hard in a few weeks. Hoping this is the start of some better training.

Lazy Sunday sleep in, I woke up and it was snowing so much! Went over to mom's and baked cookies, went straight to Lukas' 1 birthday PARTY! Then had to help mom with her broken car. Didn't get home until about 8. Was looking through the cabinet for food and realized I didn't even run on Sunday. Pretty shitty, wanted to have my first 60 mi week, but just have to be better and try harder.
