Ha fun Thanksgiving Turkey Trot. No pre-race run yesterday :/ Actually mostly mad at myself for not trying harder at this race. Ended up going out fast the first mile to know I had a good lead on the other girls and then just cruise in. The plan was executed but there was a group of people ahead of me that were all attempting to break 17. I should have stuck with them, even though the course wasn't a super fast one.
Sam's bro Alex passed me about .5 into the race and was hanging on a group but fell off. I was slowly catching him from here on out. At the end, I was getting closer and closer so I kinda held off more than usual (because my kick is SO GREAT anyways) just so it didn't look like I was going after him/I am a sore loser. Easy race, just mad I didn't just go all out and possibly blow up trying to break 17. Missed opportunity.
Cool down with Sam, Alex, Jer and The Big D while mom warmed up in the car (did I mention she ran out of her mind again this year! 26:48! What a woman). Fun Thanksgiving with a small group after, repping the kids this year.
