Notes

Biked to and from Wisconsin from the Clark's house. We woke up early and drove out to the suburbs to start from Dundee. Honestly, pretty good ride on the way up there, my butt was hurting by the end but endurance wise, I did okay. As soon as we crossed over the state line in Genoa, we stopped and Alex's back tired popped, then we were walking to figure out our plan and his front one popped. We were dying, couldn't stop laughing.

Ended up on the side of the road eating snacks and drinking Spotted Cow, when a man from the Big City of McHenry walked up and decided to have a 30 min conversation with himself. We needed a rescue but the team put in place, aka Mr. & Mrs. Clark, were not answering their phones. We walked over the state line to get a pic and find a better place to wait (Dog 'N Suds). Alex took Mrs. Clark's bike and we were on our way.

Low and behold, 4.63 miles later, my tire popped. The crew was worn out (the boys were grumpy) and Mrs. Clark came to the rescue again. Alex wanted to give up, so I took Mrs. Clark's bike and rode it back. Jason was dying up in Crystal Lake so it was a long trek home. I made it through Veterans Acres (pretty proud) and we were back by like 7. Had dinner on the back porch before heading back into the city. It was a GLR type of trip where you never want to do it again when you're in it, but looking back I know that I'd do it again. Butt hurting pretty bad on the way back but overall super fun day with a great crew.
