Guessing I ran farther than this but close enough. Went to some new trails today. It follows the des plains river the entire time. Ran under I 355 and lemont rd. I could see the trail map from across the river while I was running that is half way up big birtha hill at waterfall glen. Almost got to rt 83 and turned around. Did 30 second pick ups every minute from 50 minutes to an hour.. Think it was 7 total. Want my legs to be able to turn over up in the higher miles of a half. 30 seconds isn't long but I hit them pretty dang fast. Next thing I knew the minute was up and time to do another one. In the parking lot after the run I was in my car checking my phone when this guy pulled in. He backed into his parking spot right behind me and sat there for about a minute and then left. I think that's a gay thing? Looking too hook up or something ? That was an interesting minute. Also I found a ups drop off box randomly on this abandoned road in the middle of nowhere. Only thing around was a few boat graveyards. I just laughed cause at the store I'm always looking for those ups boxes wherever I'm at to drop product off. I'll have to remember that one is there next time I have an outgoing ups package and am in the middle of nowhere looking too get murdered.
