3 mile easy run. Unfortunately I need to take some time off. Today was the breaking point for me; the achilles pain was excruciating. I thought it would loosen up after the first mile, but only got worse as I progressed. This pain is considerably worse than last year, and as much as I don't want to stop running, I need to take a few days off. I haven't yet felt a "pop" in the achilles, which is really when you know that there is trouble, but even just walking up the stairs this morning was painful. I've been icing, stretching, and getting a pretty good amount of sleep these past few days, and I'll continue doing that. I am aiming on 3-5 days off, hoping it won't be more than that.
