75*F 60% humidity. The first 6 miles were pretty easy. The next 5 were not too bad. The last one almost killed me.
By mile 10, I was completely soaked. Even my shoes were squishing like I just stepped in a big puddle. It wasn't too bad. I could handle it. Then came a stretch of road that had zero wind -- or wind at my back. My heart rate climbed and my pace slowed. I was overheating and there was almost nothing I could do to maintain the 8:40-8:50 pace I had easily been running just 5 minutes ago. I tanked.
