First tempo run since the half marathon. It was harder than I thought it would be. 2 miles warm up, 4 miles at 7:52-8:05 pace (15k - half marathon pace). I was able to complete it pretty easily, but it felt harder than I thought it would given how easy my half marathon pace felt during the race. I think this has to do with the fact that I was very well rested and consuming lots of carbs prior to the race.
I've also started my small calorie deficit to attempt to lose 6-7lbs by the marathon to get down to 140lbs. I can only see this as helping me get faster.
Today I didn't drink any coffee before the run. I think this helped prevent the GI issues I was having in my past couple runs. I'll continue this as long for as long as I can.
