Nutrition for bike: 100oz of NUUN/CPro mix, a banana, and 1/2 ProBar, water
Going to try eat a little more solid food on the bike since it's cooler out and fluid carbs may not work as well or may make me have to use the restroom more.
Eating 1/3 ProBar left over with water and taking another thermalyte.
Weight before bike: 148.0
Weight after bike and brick run: 147.0
Bike was good. Throat hurt, but I managed it. Didn't feel good until mile 70. Then again like last time at mile 80 and 90 I felt really good.
15mph winds!!
Left knee didn't bother me during the ride :)
Took Thermalytes every 45min. Had 1/2 ProBar during the ride with no issues so that means I can substitute some fluid carbs with solids with no GI issues :) Also ate a banana(at mile 35), a GU(at 80) and a Peppermint Patty at mile 92.
The run went well too. I did feel the knee(1/10) during the run, but again it's not the same place. It never got worse.
During the quad stretches after the workout I felt the left knee a little but it also went away after 1-2 minutes of stretching.
Did have some dry blood in the sinuses, but probably from the cool air and chlorine in the pool and me being sick.
All in all a good day!
Stats:
Bike - 101 miles in 6:09:17 Burned 2100 calories. Avg HR was 121 and max of 145. Tried to keep it as low as possible.
