I wanted to keep this run fairly flat and was planning on doing an easy run. My easy pace for the first mile (beginning of it downhill) was fairly quick so I tried to decrease my pace for the next 2 miles progressively getting faster. The last mile and a half was an easier pace before the cool down. The pace was a little hard for me and I wouldn't have been able to keep it up much longer but I felt good. I started to feel a bit of stiffness in my left quad after 3 miles so I slowed down a bit after finishing 5k in 28:03. Average pace for the first 3 miles was 9:04. Avg pace for the first 5k was 9:03.
