Notes

Lacate/aneorobic threshold field test run. Been looking forward to doing some testing during my rest week, going to do this several more times this winter and spring. Here was the protocol -

- 15 minute warm up (2 miles with some run ups during the last mile).

- 30 minutes all out, taking the average HR for the last 20 minutes. Put the TM at 1% incline and started at 9.3. After 5 minutes, I bumped it up to 9.5. As I approached the 10 minute mark, I bumped it up to 9.7 which is where it stayed for the rest of the 30 minute. At the 10 minute mark I hit the lap button. My average HR for the first 10 minutes was 165. I kept running at the 9.7 pace until 30 minutes. The HR average was 175 for the last 20 minues. I had thought my LT was about 174, so 175 is about right. I think in my brain I was thinking about the 174 number and it became somewhat of a self-fulfilling prophecy. I think I could have gone a little harder.
