Notes
Our baby sitter had to be at work at 9:00 AM so she showed up at 5:15 AM. I ran to the track in total darkness for my 18 mile TT at marathion pace. Since I couldn't see the Garmin, I decided to just let it keep track of miles instead of counting laps. I started out at what felt like a relaxed, but steady pace. Once the sun was up high enough so I could see, I realized that I was running too fast. I did the first six miles at about a 6:20 average. I slowed down a little bit, but my heart rate was too low so I just decided to keep going at that pace. I faded a bit during the last 3 miles. Ran the first 9 miles in 57:30 and the second 9 miles in 58:00.
