didn't take a right at winter gulch and ended up way south west of where i was headed and took a different way back. was running out of hope and it was turning mentally epic when i saw the evergreen golf course and ice skating coming down upper bear road and then i pulled it together for the last 4 miles or so. not sure on distance but this seems about right.
