My first Win! Michael Wineberg set off and I after him. He had a gap on me about 5 meters or so for the first .75 mile then I caught him and we were neck and neck most of the hill then I took the lead for a little bit but at the top flat section just before the down hill he got in front and led by a stride and a half. Coming down the hill we were even again until I got beside him and put on my down hill legs and got a slight lead over him. I pushed through the off ramp intersection and then Ihad a bit of a lead on him with just over a mile left (13:42). I put in two or so slight surges in the next 600 meters to get myeslf a lead then I enjoyed it and ran hard. Unfortunately with the heat and such I eased up with a half mile to go and was just running comfortable then I heard footsetps and glanced back on the ground to see his shadow so I put in a sprint to get more than a few meters ahead of him and took the long way around a few cars at the end to add a second or two to my time. Again my first win! Free race which is great!
