This one needs some explaining, I'm guessing, to my audience especially after complaining about my feet for so long. Well, my feet hurt pretty bad so I figuired after thinking about it this morning that soft surfaces are what I need like an alter-G or a underwater treadmill. Unfortunately, WPI does not have either of those 75k dollar objects but we do have a track which absorbs a little more impact than concrete so I chose the track. I switched direction every 4 or 5 laps to change the strain. My feet hurt at first but after about 3 miles they loosened up and I started to drop the pace. 10k in 42:47, 20k in 1:22:57 (20:00 and 20:10 5ks and 21.1k in 1:27:30 second fastest hm), finally 21:00, 20:40 5ks to finish. The last 5k was new territory this being my second longest run ever and longest in the last 2.5 years. I am quite sore now. Pain is reallatively low in my feet so that is very good. Walked around and tried to stretch afterword good recovery I think. I aim to run 30-40 minutes tomorrow. So why did I do this? Cause I'm not getting the mileage I want right now cause my painful feet so when they ceased to bother me I went for it and pushed myself in another area besides weekly mileage. It also makes a 10k seem really small right now.
