MP run #1, as per Pfitzinger (5 mile warmup, 8 miles at MP), this run about dialing into the pace rather than effort.
Pace was fine from the effort perspective, comfortably inside threshold pace, but took far too much concentration. Pace at distracted state was between 7:00 and 7:10, but then when concentrating it I kept going too hard at about 6:35, so the whole thing was a horrible seesaw mess.
Still, that's what it was for, I guess.
