Hard effort, but should have pushed harder in the first k; first k split was 4:08 and the others (apart from the last) were reasonably even. Hadn't planned to run hard but the first mile did feel kind of easy. Happy with this.
Gareth Thomas won; nice to see the club (and him!) in first place as it's been a while. Update: Ruth was first woman at Newport and Sally was first woman at this race too, so pretty good results all round.
