Notes

Thanks to RaceMenu teammate Brad Misch for the pacing and push. Got me 9th overall out of 800+ finishers. RM team placed second. First time I've ever run an even split 5K (5:40) through every single mile marker. Conditions were miserably cold, and the odds of a PR were completely against me from the get go. Just tried to stay warm and away from the wind as long as possible before the race. Legs felt a little heavy from yesterday's mile PR at BU. Redlined throughout the 5K, but stayed within myself and didn't feel dead at any point. Course ran a little long at 3.15 on the Garmin, but that's within reason. Much more reasonable than the 3.25 that I heard was the Jingle Bell 5K course down the road at Davis Square. Going to stay away from these holiday themed road races as it appears that costumes and the number of kegs on tap appear to be more important than course and results accuracy. Why weren't male awards announced or given out?
