Notes
PR'ed by less than 3 seconds over last year's attempt to break 5 minutes indoors. Not sure what to make of it since I ran a marathon the day before last year's 5:02 mile. Went through the 800 in 2:32, but didn't panic. Stay calmed and steady. Relied on 200 kick at the end to negative split and go sub 5 (barely). Passed about 5 runners over the final 200.
AC and Matt also had pretty kick ass mile runs. First time on the track for them in quite a number of years. Looking forward to returning next week and seeing how much faster I can go before we ring in the new year. Feeling strong for sub 17 attempt tomorrow at Yulefest 5K.
Nice to see familiar faces at BU today, including Spinney, Fram, Giberti, and Hammond. Fram was in my heat and kicked everybody's ass with a 4:51.
