Very pleased with this one. Can’t remember a race where I’ve been in a pack, handled multiple surges, thrown in some of my own, and was able to stay in it. There was a group of four of us battling for about 3.75 miles. I almost lost them with about 1200 to go and just told myself to stick with it. Once i saw the building marking about a half mile to go, I knew I had to move to leave the young pups. Just kept picking it up and finished for the win. Been doing this race for nine years and this is the first time I’ve taken the win. It was my fastest finishing time by 40 seconds and four mile PR (from a workout with Jordan) by 10 seconds. It might’ve just been the local turkey trot but it felt really good to win this with a race I’m very proud of
