Another pretty abysmal workout. Threshold was good. Feel like I can do that all day. First race pace interval was alright. I fell off the group, but made it up on the hill and brought us home pretty good. Second thousand faster than first. Next 2k I fell back after the hill and didn't make up the ground. Breathing was getting more difficult as was keeping together my stomach. Fourth 2k I just sort of fell apart. Hung with the group for roughly 600 meters then kept falling. DIdn't feel like I could go faster (mental), then just stopped at the top of the hill. I hung up there for like 25 seconds and just thought "what am I doing, I need to finish this" so I did. I finished a lot better and probably at the legitimate race pace, but obviously it wasn't gonna do anything for the threshold.

Takeaway: I need to do something about these allergies. I thought it was lingering sickness the last couple weeks, but as Jake explained, it is the allergies doing it. Also, macaroni is no longer doing it for me with workouts, so back to the drawing board. I feel like by finishing that last repeat, even with the stop, was overcoming one mental hurdle. My group mates are there for me, so I need to be there for them. I will be.
