Came down with something last night. I woke up in the middle of the night and my throat was super scratchy and very mucusy. Kept bothering me all night, which worried me about this. Went into this unprepared to do 1000s, so I switched to 600s (equal recovery) to try to keep with the pace at a more manageable distance (and try to handle more repeats (6-8 instead of 3-4x1K)). Didn't work. Felt super dead legged, never mentally was in it. Tried to switch to spikes to re-focus and that didn't work. On the last repeat, my foot did not feel right so I cut it.

Really bummed with today's workout. This was supposed to be the end of the cycle I've been working. Even though I missed last week's workout I was really pumped for this until my throat started bothering me. I just need to focus on the little things right now, get some sleep, take care of my foot and not let the rest of this week get away from me.

Hey man, keep your chin up. You're still very fit, and now all you have to do is get to Relays in one piece and you'll be ok. I did all of three workouts in the month before Indy, and it turned out alright. Some times you just need to let go a little and trust that you're in peak form.
