Finally, a good workout. The workout was supposed to be 2x2k at T w/ 2 minute recovery + 1x1600 + 1x1000 at race pace, but I chose to do 2x1000 race after going down the hill on the threshold - my back was tightening up. The threshold was a little quick, but within proper effort intensity. I tried to keep everyone reigned in and packed up. On the mile repeat, a couple guys blasted off the line, which was annoying. I kept with Lapp and Kelch who went the proper pace and finished the 1k at 3:30. The last 1k I wanted to push a little more after finishing up the hill. It felt good - I didn't push too hard.
I hope that I can carry this through the rest of the season. It would really bring validation to my summer of work
