6th overall, 3rd age group. Still was very sore starting the race. Hamstring felt not great on the start line. Race took off. Walmer sped away. I hung in a third group behind Tom and some Mahomet boys. Passed the two I was with by the mile. Caught the Mahomet boys by the two mile. Thought I gave a solid pass but didn’t drop one of them. He stormed by around three mile and I let him go. From there just ran in no man’s land. Tried to focus on just steady running because I knew I was slowing. The hills were tough and the last mile I was hurting.
Good to get back out there and have that challenge again. Just gotta keep working.
