Good workout this morning. Had a difficult time finding the pace during reps and managed to have to push consistently the last lap to be around 5:20. 2nd 5k pace workout and it just had me totally out of my element not running Any threshold pace during workouts. Starting fast has me disoriented but also think it's a good thing. I think running this with another person would have made it feel much easier. Starting these in the dark solo is draining by mentally. Felt like I was having harder than I wanted to. The last rep I was pushing the last lap and feel like I'm all crunched up but then relaxed with 100 to go and breezed in. The mental endeavor is more draining than the physical endeavor and now that it's over I feel like one more would not have been hard to complete. Anyways I'm gonna do a couple more miles later and maybe hop in for some 200s

If you want to do a short threshold pace run before these as part of warm-up go ahead , probably a good thing....BUT have complete recovery before starting the 5k pace work. was this on the track or road?? what was your rest??
