Day hike on the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail from Ohiopyle. Out to the shelter, a couple yo-yos between mile markers 5-7, then returned to OP.
Followed along with some NEO Trail clubbers going for the Ohiopyle 50k, which is a double out-back from miles 0-8. "Gate to eight, times two." Said 50k touts about 7,400' of gain. Not many 50ks are more difficult.
