Tougher workout than expected. Hotter too. Started out in low-70s temps and sunny, 80F by the end. Ran on the river path in Tucson.
Planned cruise interval workout of 3x 15-minutes @ Threshold-pace with 3 minute rests between. Goal = 6:20/mile.
Hit the first interval @ 6:18 pace, crumbled in the second interval (@ 6:28), then rallied in the 3rd @ 6:25-ish.
Slightly disappointed I couldn't run better but chalk it up to the high temps and lack of acclimatization.
5.4 miles warm-up and 3 cool-down for about 15 miles for the day.
