Got 8th. Happy with wrapping up a rocky indoor season with an All-American. I think this race was somewhat of a mental turning point for me. I ran with the guys I needed to run with, but I didn’t race them. I put myself in position to get 8th, but not in position to win or get top 3. 4th place was only 2 seconds ahead of me. If I had just put myself where I needed to be in the first 800 meters, I could have zonened out and not had to keep fighting for position. I won’t race at a national meet without that confidence in myself again. I’m ready to win some big races.
