Wicker beat me at the line. I had him gapped since 6k. I certainly had the fitness to win this race, but when its all said and done I think I just didn't have the confidence. My move needed to be bigger, or I needed to push harder the last 300m and trust my legs would continue to respond. My goal remains to win nats, but I need to reevaluated some things. Definitely going to spend some time talking and pondering where to go from here.
I need to figure out what to wear for these colder days. It was about 50 and my legs were colder than I would have liked wearing thin 3/4 tights. I need to get some with a little insulation maybe.
The team absolutely killed it. Ali is a new runner...exactly when he needed to step up. Caleb, Casey and Joe continue to be extremely solid and deadly. Other guys continue stepping up and dropping time. Very very exciting stuff.
