Fast Walk

Notes

Fast walk over first 1.75 miles and then transitioned into combo fast walk/jog. Had Dr.'s appt and he was manipulating my leg & putting me thru some stress positions so upper right leg was irritated. When I started the fast walk I could feel that pain area in my inguinal area and below but it subsided very quickly. Was conservative in not starting anything until 1.75 miles and when I began my jog segments was pleasantly surprised that there was zero pain and I was immediately jogging 10-12 steps to start. Kept it conservative for 1/2 mile and then began to extend out the jog segments to about 18-20 steps for the remainder of mile 3. Towards the end of mile 3 stepped on a rock and pain just exploded into my Psoas 2" inside of my hip where I had all of that pain starting in the fall (this confirmed my Dr's earlier diagnosis), and then into mile 4 I felt comfortable enough to really extend the jog segments starting first at like 60 yards and then extending it out to about 100-125 yards at a time (and being conservative). I could send I was moving along very slowly. Running up fr Carnegie to Fairview next to Piedmont Row ran that hill in only two segments, and then over the last mile ran 1/3 of a mile, walked 6 steps and ran the remaining 2/3's of a mile. I could feel pain over the final two miles but it did not increase & actually subsided some. More importantly no onset of pain post run.
