Michigan Set (run the odds' at a LT Tempo, evens' at VO2Max, end w/a hard 300m)
Actual: (this was a disaster)
I'm regressing and getting slower & this is very depressing. I can also feel it in my legs as my legs don't feel "light" or "quick" - feels heavy & my muscles feel like over-stretched rubber bands (I have no strength, normally I can "shift gears" & when I try I get no response & in fact I feel weaker). I ran this similar set 25-30 seconds faster 4 weeks ago. On #1 I felt weaker as if I could not shift into a higher gear, on #2 where I was running this faster it felt again like I was stuck in 2nd gear & felt weak, on #3 I controlled the pace but ran this slower vs #1, the same was true on #4 where it felt like I was in a funk, and then much worse on #5 where I ran this abysmally slow & felt really weak. Took recovery & then ran a 300m & it felt like I tied up but this one I actually exceeded expectations as it felt like 7:15 pace & ran it much faster.
