(un)Easy Run

Fast walked & did drills prior. Started out fr Scarsdale HS and ran out and right on Wayside (about 200m in I felt like I had serious lactic acid deficit, an impending heart attack, felt like I was running 5 min pace & wanted to stop & worse running into a stiff headwind where I couldn't hear my music) & right on Brewster around to the back of the HS & then out & right past the library & ran a lap around the library out to Rte 22 (1.26 mi - mi 1 = 8:21 pace, had to stop, felt "dead", felt like I had no strength, side stitch, sweating, felt terrible). Hung right on Rte 22 trying to find rhythm but still felt terrible & when I got to Crane/Drake fortunately had to stop because of traffic & walk across (2 mi - still had side stitch which felt worse & felt "dead", pace slowed to 8:34 & I felt like I could not hang on). Resumed & began to feel better and ran straight to finish (which seems meaningless but became a "big goal). Ran up Rte 22 up to Grand (all uphill) then ran around parochial school & looped back down Rte 22 (now all downhill - mi 3 = 8:28), then began to feel much better & began using my hip flexors & glutes to power me past Crane/Baraud all the way down & left into library into the headwind (mi 4 - 8:19) & then around library (into wind) left on Brewster to HS & then 500m on the mondo track (mi 5 = 8:01 - felt so much stronger & efficient). Can't believe I descended last 4 miles given how terrible I felt during mi 2.
