Goal: 1mi @8:20 pace; .55mi @8:20 pace; 1k@7:55 pace; 55mi@8:20pace; 1k@7:50 pace; 55mi@8:20pace;.300m@6:30 pace.
Actual: 1mi @8:17 pace; .55mi@8:19 pace; 1k@7:52 pace; .55mi@8:19 pace; 1k@7:45 pace; .55mi@8:19 pace; 300m @6:17 pace.
Overal = 8:03 pace.
It so oppressively hot/humid that I made the call to run this indoors (and glad I did because this would have been an absolute disaster). Had difficult adjusting to a treadmill & prefer not to run on one. #1 was rough running the 1 mi. The .55mi @what I think tempo should be (an abysmally slow 8:19 pace) were grinds especially the 2nd one where I got a side stitch w/300m to go (and was afraid this would impact me on segment #5 (the 1k). On the 1st 1k I made an adjustment in my form & put me in a stronger position running this (tried to run this faster but backed off). On the 2nd 1k (#5) I felt much stronger, got into a stronger position & ran this at the same effort as #3 but the form carried thru. Did the same on #6 as this felt much much more easier vs. #2 & #4 (& no reoccurence of any side stitch). I tried to bite off more than I could chew on the #7 (300m) as I actually tried to run at around 6:11 pace but started out at 6:18 pace & could not go any faster & really "gutted out" the final 100m!
