Long Run
Fast walked & did drills prior - started out fr Phillips Place. Ran a somewhat similar course as last week's long run but added some rolling portions in mile 3 & 4 (and no 15 mph wind today). Had no clue how my pace would fare given what occurred yesterday. Focused on settling into a not too slow pace & quick cadence - ran loops around Phillips Pl (mi 1). up Fairview & left on Sharon to church (mi 2), right on Rutherford & then ran the back neighborhood coming out on Park So (mi 3) & then up to Sulkirk & looped again (mi 4) back into Sulkirk & left on Sharon past church to Fairview (mi 5). Note sure why mi 6 was so much faster vs mi 5 as it didn't feel faster (looped in mall parking lot & then down to Earth Fare), looped around in Earth Fare ran out & then stopped at BOA at mile 8 as my right hamstring began bothering me again. Stretched & did drills & then ran last mile back to Phillips Pl. Inconceivable how I ran this at relatively the same pace as yesterday -- today's run did not feel anywhere near yesterday + today was a long run?
