Cut Down Set
Actual: 3/4 mi (8:27 pace); 1/2mi (7:37); 4/10th mi (7:20); ~500m (7:14); ~320m (6:41); 1/10mi (5:30)
Messed up twice getting splits on the 4/10th mi & the final 1/10th mi segments (it is assinine how firmly one has to press in the Start/Stop button on my old Garmin 405cx & why the band broke because of that). Ran the 3/4 mi so much slower vs expected that I was ready to quit. And then totally overcompensated on the 1/2 mi where my goal was to break 8 min since after this hamstring injury I have been (depressingly) unable to do that running any 1/2 mi split but blew way past that. And then successfully progressed everything else even though it felt like I was struggling which I felt in the 4/10 mi & ~500m segments. Given how hot & humid it was I had to take extra recovery to avoid heat exhaustion.
