Easy Run [7:50 pace p mi adj for heat]

74 deg / 53% H [55 DP]. Goal was to run 4 miles straight (went 3.25 mi straight yesterday) and then 1.5 miles. I could actually feel the "higher dew point" since dew points prior where in/below the 40's. Did 2 x drills (16x running butt kicks + 8x side leg reaches + 8x high knees -- no pain on the high knees) prior to this effort. Wore my new Cortana3's (that I bought a month ago) for the first time & they were light but felt good. Started out and focused on staying in control (quick cadence but easy pace). No side stitch. Could feel the higher dew point as I started to sweat less than a mile in. Felt pain in right Adductor to start but not as bad as yesterday & slowly decreased over about 1/2 mile. Kept trying to focus on my cadence and trying to make that instinctive again in addition to extending my hips on the inclines. Versus yesterday, I hit the 2.75 mile mark and felt good, went thru 3.25 miles and still no energy drain -- kept focus on form and cadence and extended to 4.3 miles and then took a 45 sec walk break. I had spied my mile 4 split (7:53) so after this tried to really slow things down (but w/quick cadence). When I started up again felt that pain in right Adductor (sharp for 20-30 seconds and then subsided after a minute or two) and focused on being steady and easy. Surprised at running 8 min pace in mile 5 for what I perceived to be such an easy effort.
