Long Run

53 degrees. Ran down fr Earth Fare to McMullen Greenway -- went left and then out after mile marker 3 onto Colony and past 485 and back on greenway to Trader Joes and back. Prior to this I did 3 x drills [15x butt kicks & high knees, the first two butt kicks walking] -- and noticed significantly less pain to start (also noticed I felt stronger bio-mechanically). Once I got on the greenway about 1/2 mile in it got dark (this was almost two miles in) and sub-consciously I tend to slow because I can't see the footing well (had headlamp) -- but mile 3 felt like mile 2 and mile 4? During mile 5 I felt that "dead leg" feeling again where it feels the spring is gone and legs feel flat -- battled that in mile and mile 6. Again, not sure why mile 7 was so slow other than hard to see (these all felt the same). Felt better in mile 8 (but same footing issues). Towards end of mile 8 I started to feel "pangs" of pain in right Psoas and left quad (fr left Adductor), and then as if my glute and upper hamstring were extremely fatigued to the point where I had to stop, walk and hope nothing was going wrong. Fortunately everything was ok, so continued on and started to feel much better and stronger (keep thinking this is partially due to better lighting towards the end and more so psychological as the run is now over).
