Cool down + 6 x 65 yards of skipping/bounding along grass field at Pearl St Park

It was so miserable and there was no wind that when I started my jog I actually felt some relief fr the wind rushing in my face. Ran to the water fountain twice over the first mile to hydrate and spritz water all over myself. Felt like a Burma death march. Ran over to Pearl St Park to run 4 x 60 yards alternating skipping on each leg, and then 2 x 75 yards of more of "speed skipping" drill skipping off each leg (with five quick steps in between). After #3 thru #6 I had to stop to walk about 25 yards as I felt like I had to collapse as I could feel this deep into my core (after #6 it felt like someone hit me in my core w/a sledgehammer), and then jogged back. These skipping/bounding/hopping efforts literally bring me to my knees and I almost completely lose my appetite for hours after -- and now I know why after looking at how fast I'm doing these. I'm thinking I'm going at a moderate speed but after looking at Garmin on three of these I was accelerating all into the low 5's and three were in the 4:50+ range (and the skipping slows me down so no wonder why -- these are like doing strides!).
