Easy Run [7:57 pace p mi adj for heat]

80 deg / 38% H [52 DP]. Did 2x drills prior. Wore the lighter flatter Saucony Cortanas'. Started out and did not have any meaningful pain which is a good sign. Did not feel "fatigued" after first 60 min+ effort yesterday but did not feel "fresh" or "crisp". The lighter/flatter shoes made a difference in "feeling" form and cadence. Left calf hurt in the beginning but subsided. Even though every 3-4 days I can feel that these runs are easy on the margin I still have segments where I feel my energy sag, my form start to fall apart and/or struggle -- and just have to fight thru it. Here is was towards the end of mile 2 where it felt like my form began to fall apart for about 200 yards, and from 3.25 to about 3.5 miles where again I struggled. One improvement was feeling good up the hills & really focused on leg turnover and shortening my stride (but I can feel a lack of strength fr not being able to do any hill sprints or strides). Began to feel pain in inguinal area and above after mile 5 and really focused on firing my glutes or extending my hips (which helped). The one positive here is that I negative split this as mile 5 and 6 felt the same as in many prior runs I was dying at the end. The last 1/2 mile began to feel like a struggle so I focused on form and this felt much slower vs the prior two miles (it wasn't?).
