Easy Run [8:09 pace p mi adj for heat] and Huge Setback

71 deg / 32% H. Did 3x drills (18x running butt kicks and these felt great + 7x high knees) prior. Ran the first mile on the dirt trail at HarrisY, and then ventured out on road. Felt pain not along hip line for about the first time in 9 months but in the crease of the leg/trunk where the inguinal ligament resides for about the first 30 seconds and then it subsided. Felt a little more "jar" when on the asphalt, but otherwise felt fine, and then focused on running w/quick cadence and any pain disappeared (felt really "stable" and strong) as I ran up Sharon, hung left on Sulkirk and then right on Park South. As I started up the hill on Park South I could feel the area of pain more (which is consistent every time I go up a hill) and concentrated on shortening my stride to lessen the stress. However, it hurts when I have to make a sharp turn to the right, so when I turned right up Fairview this really hurt (could really feel it flare and as I ran up Fairview by Piedmont Row and then by the mall even though that initial jolt of pain subsided I could still feel it. So when I got to the corner of Fairview and Sharon where I was going to have to do another 90 degree right turn, I stopped to essentially reposition myself but I know felt pain when I was doing this. When I started up it hurt even more, and didn't really subside as I ran down Sharon, and after another 2 min stopped. It hurt when I walk, and when I tried to start up again it hurt even more. What is strange is that my pace picked up over the last 3/4 mile when it started to hurt a little more (and then hurt more over the final 500m) -- usually I get really slower when that happens?

Had to walk the final mile back. After I cooled down it really hurt, almost the same as 2 weeks ago. Began walking w/a limp, have intense pain along inguinal nerve fr where legs meets trunk into hip and around the hip (it really hurts to rotate). Why am I back to almost ground zero again after taking a day off!!
