Fast Interval

Goal: 6 x 1/4 mi at 3k pace (3:30 recovery), 4 x 300m at 5k pace - 30 sec. or 6:09 pace (~2:30 recovery)

Actual: 6 x 1/4 mi at 6:18 pace; 4 x 322m at 6:06 pace.

After jog/recovery on 6th 1/4 mile, changed shoes into Newton Distance Racers which felt much lighter and stable. Focused on not going "overboard" in terms of pushing these. Steadily descended and fortunately did not feel the hamstring. Did push the last one but this was not a "real" push as I'm extremely careful about not running these at mile (5:50) pace or faster.
