Fast Walk

Combination Jog/Fast Walk

Fast walked first 1/2 mile, then transitioned into 8-16 steps jog & 6-8 steps of fast walk. It really (really really) hurt in my right Psoas (adjacent to hip) after about 2 minutes into the combo jog/fast walk (as if that muscle was extremely taut) so every time the muscle contracted I felt more of a tight feeling. This persisted and at about 2.5 miles it started to get really bad (almost to the "knife sticking in my hip" pain I had just prior to Labor Day when this came to a head and I had to seek treatment when it was painful to walk). Decided to lengthen the jog segments and shorten the fast walk segments (20-24 steps of jog & 4-6 steps of walk) and the pain (tightness) somewhat subsided. Then as I was heading back at 3.3 miles in decided to jog the rest of the way and as I thought, the pain (tightness) decreased significantly to where it was "comfortably uncomfortable" (which confirmed that taking more than one day off makes this feel much much worse). Right 4th toe appears to be ok -- will know more tomorrow morning.
