Easy Run

44 degrees. The "warmup" really helped as when I started out did not experience the pain I did yesterday (or what I experienced on the warmup). Seems that running (and not stopping/starting) is less stress/pain and not running makes this worse? Focused on trying to get into some rhythm which happened at times in mile 2 and then last 1.5 miles. Started experiencing serious pain in right navicular (inside) area where I would get sharp pain to the point of stopping every 2 to 5 minutes (and when I felt this, my foot felt "dead" as I could not dorsiflex). Realized that this may be from icing my right 4th toe (and the position I had to put my foot in) but this scared the heck out of me -- at 3 miles I thought that was it (more concerned that post-run I would not be able to walk or put wt on it but it was not the case). Ran this continuously, rolling hills (down Sharon, left on Sulkirk, down Old Reid, right on Park then right on Tyvola and sort of back w/branch off down to Barclay Downs). Felt ok aerobically and felt better bio-mechanically (after 4 days off I tend to "lose rhythm, so yesterday my easy pace was 9:10, today its 8:29, and hopefully will see progression tomorrow as I get my legs back). Felt right 4th toe walking around post-run but its fine.
