Easy Run

Fast walked & did drills b4hand. Trigger points in right quad (medial & lateral) really hurt same as yesterday. When I started I was limping and hobbling & said to myself that I'll give myself 1/2 mi and shut it down it felt that bad (form was horrific & wincing in pain every right footfall). Ran down fr Whole Foods and swung left on Sharon (into a 10 mph headwind) -- this hurt on a 8/10 scale (yesterday was 9/10). At about 1/3 mi had to cross Sharon & had to stop for 5 sec -- when I resumed there was much less pain, no hobbling & was able to get form/cadence back. Mile 1 felt slower than yesterday (it was 10+ sec faster & into headwind), mile 2 tried to keep steady pace & use my butt (which seemed to lessen pain). Mile 3 was rolling (down Park South & then back up Old Reid) - felt some pain on the downhill in quad, felt some pain in hamstring on uphill. Swung left on Park South & mile 4 felt slower than prior miles (it wasn't) - kept trying to focus on cadence, tried to get footfalls underneath on descent, and tired to not stop climbing up Park So to Fairview, then maintaining cadence after swinging left on Fairview to Park. Looped back & now in mile 5 - at about 4.5 mi started to feel myself "losing rhythm", tried to regain it (couldn't), pain was at 1/10 here - so powered thru to about 5.35 & stopped by Panera (did drills & hamstring stretches). When I resumed the trigger points really hurt again (confirms I'm injured as whenever I have a bonafide injury it hurts when I resume -- 7/10), it subsided about 1 min later - ran up Fairview & again tried to focus on quick cadence.
