Blended Tempo/Interval Workout
Goal: 4 mi Progressive Tempo then 4 x 1/2 mi @VO2Max
Actual: 4.5 mi Progressive Tempo then 3 x 1/2 mi @VO2Max [7:30/7:17/7:06]
Wanted to run some 1/2 mi repeats after I fatigued my legs running a lengthy progressive tempo run (all in/around Phillips Pl) & then run 3 x 1/2 mi VO2Max efforts. Ran these in the new Hyperion Tempos and these felt like nothing I've ever run in - I did not use orthotics - these shoes felt super light, felt like I was bouncing along w/springs on, gliding, felt super strong (felt like these were "spring loaded"). Screwed up on #1 as I forget to hit start & realized it got the last 1/2 mi split. On #2 felt stronger and much more fluid, and on #3 even much stronger & more fluid (was bounding). Huge "improvement step" today.
