Easy Run [8:07 pace p mi adj for heat]
83 deg / 69% H [72 DP]. Have not run since Wed (fast walked Fri & Sat). Did 3x drills prior to awaken those muscles (no right foot pain during running butt kicks). Felt really miserable out (this was in fact the most miserable day I have run this summer with the 72 dew pt). Started out w/right foot pain but it was in a different place, along the lateral side of my right foot, and it felt more like "muscle tightness" vs. the broken foot feeling fr the prior week. I spent about a mile trying to regain my cadence/form/legs - foot hurt a little more running down the decline on Red Fox vs. the hill up and over to Sharon Amity. As I got to 2 miles I was more worried about the heat than my foot as I felt "hot", and around this time started to fine tune my form -- as I tried to focus on a mid-foot (to toe) footfall immediately noticed that the low-level pain in right foot completely went away. So at this point was overly focused on mid/fore foot plant (which also meant not overstriding) and fine tuning this over the different terrain. Goal was to go for about 4 miles or 35 minutes, and when I hit 3.5 miles (shorts completely soaked and feeling very hot) that was it.
