4 x Strides on (soggy) HarrisY field + 2 x Drills
Ran these in the lighter Skeecher GoRuns but the field was soft/soggy after the 2.5" of rain over the past 36 hours. My speed felt good but I could feel the tightness in my left quad (as if someone had hit my quad w/a 2"x4") and was concerned that this type of speed did not irritate it. I experimented with where to inject speed (in the middle, over the first third or towards the end) on these. #1 thru #3 where more like U-curves on Garmin whereas #4 was an outlier (started too slow and then sped up). Drills = 3 x 60 yds of paw backs, 2 x 40 yds butt kicks (concerned these irritate my quad) & 1 x 10 walking high knees. Accurate splits below:
