(un)Easy Run

Shifted run to later to avoid rain fr remnants of Nate. Today was the worst & most oppressive conditions I've run this year -- 76 dew pt (worse than tropical) plus very strong winds fr south (20 mph gusting to about 40 mph). Ran this about the same exact time as yesterday & was forced to stop numerous times (4 I think) because the heat just killed me (my head would get really hot, right before 5 mi I felt like I was going to faint & my stomach was hurting, completely soaked in sweat by mi 4). Fast walked & did drills prior. Started fr South Pk & ran loops of parking lot (mi 1 - felt good but towards the end of mi 1 it felt like my muscles lost "spring"), continued in parking lot & then up Fairview, up Ashley left on Sharon (mi 2), now running into the teeth of this 20mph torrent & it put pressure on my right hamstring that started to ache, looped into church & then had to stop (at 2.44 mi - began to feel faint & body felt hot), resumed out of parking lot & right on Sharon (wind behind me) to Fairview (mi 3). At this point it felt like the wheels came off fr the heat & my pace confirms this. Ran down Fairview looping into first parking lot, then looping into Zoe's around BOA & then down to Piedmont Row (mi 4 - given this was downhill my pace is alarming), ran down Piedmonth Row looping back & then around Panera & around Ruth's Chris & back around Panera & then up Fairview & looped around BOA & stopped (mi 5.25 - felt really faint & head was hot), resumed up Fairview into the teeth of the 20mph wind which again caused my right hamstring to really ache until I crested past Whole Foods. Amazing how weak I feel in these oppressive conditions & post-run.
