6 x Strides on HarrisY Grass Field (+ Drills)
First time running strides in over 12 weeks post injury hell (and doing active drills). Not sure how these would feel but I could feel that the hill sprints (4) I ran Sunday helped in terms of bio-mechanics and getting legs moving (felt decently quick, not lethargic or full of rust). Noticed that these were not "efforts" (where I had to summon effort) but I could let my legs run out. I actually "controlled" the pace on #5 and #6 to avoid going too fast. I did notice that my acceleration at the beginning was not powerful or quick so that needs time. Surprised that I was running low 5's (and not at a hard effort) and that these were "flat U"'s on Garmin given this is the 2nd stride/sprint work in 12 weeks. Accurate splits:
