Easy Run

Fast walked (7/10 mi) & did drills b4hand. Warm conditions. Needled yesterday and felt some relief in mid hamstring (doesn't feel like my femur is broken, just bruised badly). Started out and the pain along outside of my leg was not the "bone breaking" kind, felt like it coalesced and my leg was "firmer" (as if it slowly healed), no bilateral knee pain. Felt awkward for about 1/4 mi before I could get a sense of rhythm. Legs were not "dead" as they have felt the day after every needling session so far. And I noticed for the first time in a month that the run did not feel like a struggle (felt "easier"). Ran down Sharon fr Whole Foods, ducked into Rutherford (mile 1), then left on Sulkirk & out to Sharon & down to Y (mile 2), shot over to Beverly Woods Elementary & 4 laps around 220 yd track & then back to Y (mile 3). At this point I felt in a good groove, good rhythm, under control. Ran over to dirt trail and then at about 3.5 mi I noticed it was getting "less easy", I was sweating much more and it was difficult to stay in rhythm. At 3.75 mi stopped, did some drills to get rhythm back and took on some water outside HarrisY. Then resumed out the back of the HarrisY trail up to Sharon (mile 4 - slower place reflected heat + the shape I am in). Ran up Sharon and solely concentrated on form and maintaining cadence -- noticed that this was much much easier vs prior runs where after I stopped I felt "spent" and it was all I could muster to run a k or 3/4 mi & then had an urgent need to stop. Here that was not the case - I could maintain cadence & despite the hot conditions maintain rhythm. Hopefully this carries into my next run?
